- The themes of Ruth's books
deal with the far reaching effects of man's inhumanity to man. Anyone teaching critical social isues would find this presentation helpful. In each story, the protagonist finds hope in spite of lost dreams. Ruth has a way of encouraging children who have dealt with their own tragedies such as loss, rejection, identity issues, or being misunderstood. Ruth engages students by telling stories, showing pictures, and asking questions. (Length: 45 minutes)
- How is a book made? How and when does an author write? Where do authors find their stories? What are the elements of a good story? All these questions and more are answered in this presentation. Ruth will show students through power point presentation and stories how stories are born and come to life. (Length: 45 minutes)
